When you wake up and realize you are living the life of your dreams!

“Be it according to Thy Word.” Exodus 8:10

What part of your life is being as His Word says it is to be? That is the part of your life that is so good it’s almost dreamy. So then for the areas that are a little less dreamy and at times even more nightmarish, say this with me out-loud concerning what’s on your mind…Be it according to Thy Word. Now, say it again and not like a ritual or because you should but because you believe it in your core. Say it with conviction, trusting in the power of God’s Word that it will not return void but it will accomplish just that.

People often act like you need a long, drawn out prayer and a million Bible verses to ensue a victory over the enemy. But it’s simply not true. There is so much power in that one verse that it could totally turn your entire life right side up. I pray this verse comes alive like it has in me and helps eradicate sickness, hopelessness, angst, fear, or whatever is dogging your tracks.

This past week was Thanksgiving and I was living the dream with all of our kids home for the holidays and feeling like I was in heaven for a solid week plus…so much so that I completely forgot to blog last week. Used to, I would have kicked myself, worried about what you thought, felt like a loser for being inconsistent. While, yes, I messed up and forgot but here’s a huge part of why I feel like I’m living the dream…I’m learning that God is bigger than my mistakes. You and I aren’t always bigger than ours or others’ errors but He is.

Living the life of your dreams has very little to do with things and a whole more to do with being. “Be it according to Thy Word.” Things are involved, make no mistake. We need food, clothes, and shelter. We need things. God even said all these things will be added as we seek Him first. The key to enjoying things and living the life of your dreams genuinely is fully understanding how to be happy ANYWAY, choosing to love ANYWAY, and no matter what he or she does or how things are going, continuing to believe ANYWAY.

This is TEN YEARS since I wrote Happy ANYWAY and it feels a little serial. Faith, love, and joy…oh the connection of those three powerful forces we are told in Scripture to guard along with all the other fruit of the spirit. Why? Because out of our hearts flow these forces of life that create the life we are dreaming of. These forces flow out and cause things to be according to Thy Word.

I remember the year I launched Happy ANYWAY, my entire world flipped on it’s head. Many of my closest friends left our church and our lives, my Mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and passed away within seven months. A lil tear just filled my eye and almost spilled out still over all two dozen or so of those losses. All the while, that year I crisscrossed the country doing Happy Conferences. Never did I ever know when I wrote that book and booked that book tour what was ahead and how much I would be given the opportunity to be happy ANYWAY and walk it out in my own life. Just know, whatever you are going through, God always gives you the strength and wisdom to carry out what He is calling you to. Obey Him in this season and deposit The Word in this season so that you’ll be ready in the next for whatever life throws at ya!

And then right in the midst of whatever you find yourself in, you’ll look up and realize you are living the life of your dreams. Not that everything is even how it should be or some picture perfect life (like mine was this past week) but my kids flew back yesterday to Cali and my newest almost-daughter-in-love will be headed back to Louisiana today so the Cooley Crew will not be all together again for a while. Now what? So now I will enjoy who and what I have in the moment, my wonderful husband and youngest son who lives here and we have the honor and privilege of working together most days. What a dream. Perspective is everything. Have this perspective: “Be it according to Thy Word.” Exodus 8:10
Go put your phone down and live your dream!

Happy Monday!

XO,

Adrienne
