“But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.”
Psalms 59:16-17 NKJV

If you have followed this blog long you already know that we were made for relationship. And you know that we are generally as happy as our least happy relationship. But as long as our vertical relationship is in tact (with God) even when our horizontal relationships (with people) get a little squirly we can still be happy anyway.
If you have ever been misrepresented or lied about or even had someone position themselves against you as a true enemy, this blog is going to help you like it did me when I realized this in light of going through an aforementioned relational storm. If you don’t have any haters count your blessings but if you do, you’re gonna relate as you read the whole chapter of Psalms 59. It will really give you hope and let you know that long ago the devil was doing the same thing. People were doing the same things to eachother as now. That alone is so amazing to me…just that there are no new tricks. No unique situations. We are all going through basically the same stuff.
Did somebody rain on your party? Did someone rain on your Year? Did somebody rain on your last decade or even life? This passage tells us what to do when that happens! Sing! Sing in the rain ☔️
I double dog dare you to read chapter 59 of Psalm and you will get as happy ANYWAY as I did when I read it in the middle of the same thing — a storm filled with rain. My heart began to be lifted up and sing and the rain seemed like so much less of a bother. Go ahead and sing in the rain, love ANYWAY and watch your mood lift!
Happy Monday!
