Many of you know that Lisa Young was scheduled to speak at this year’s Happy Conference and wasn’t able to due to her mother in law’s homegoing. We were so saddened and our hearts went out to the family. But also the thought of the legacy this lady left overwhelmed me the whole weekend and has ever since. Lisa sent a video to greet the ladies in her absence. Little did I know that her simple but precious video just explaining why she couldn’t be with us would have such a profound impact on me. I wonder if the others in that room that day a month ago heard what I heard on that video. Her words have rung in my head ever since that she said about her beautiful mother in law…I don’t remember exactly but basically it was that she changed the world from this chair that Lisa sat in. She prayed for multitudes of people from that chair. She spent time with God in that chair and it was from that chair that she lived, loved, and laughed.

Here is my question to you. Do you have a chair? You see, there is fullness of joy in God’s presence. I think on social media, we are looking for this sense of presence from people we admire or love or look up to. We get to feel a moment of joy from our brains thinking we are in the presence of greatness or in the presence of someone we wished liked us or we hope likes us. I think it’s why social media is so powerful because it carries us into the presence of people. We are hard wired for connection and we must have it. But really the connection that satisfies the most is that connection we have with God.

I am finding that I am most satisfied with my phone off and connected to my God as I sit in my chair where I do the most important business of the day. If you don’t have a chair and a comfy throw to wrap up in, a favorite pair of slippers and yummy pjs or loungewear, a favorite mug or 3 ☕️ to sip tea or coffee from as you bask in God’s presence, you need to GO SHOPPING today! This is something worth investing in. 😍😂🤸‍♂️❤️

So I hope you were inspired, motivated, and challenged today to LIVE from this place. When you do this you will begin to love ANYWAY, because you are hanging out with LOVE Himself and He can’t help but rub off on you. ☺️ When you love from this place, you will LAUGH more instead of fret and be anxious. You may not change the whole world but you can change someone’s whole world. Lisa is an example of someone who has done that for me not even knowing it at the time — just being who she is. Lisa’s mother in law did that for her and her whole family. Look how many people’s whole worlds have been changed from one lady, Mrs. Young sitting in her chair taking care of business day in and day out. From that chair I saw on that video, she indirectly through Lisa changed my whole world from a state of depression to laughing, loving, and really living from my chair! If you do nothing else as a result of this blog, get a chair!
