Soul control

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

That word meditate is what gets me every time. What have you found yourself meditating on lately?

Are you meditating on….

what God has done for you or what people have done to you?

what you have to be thankful for or what you wish you had that she has?

what all you have to do or what all you get to do?

We all have plenty we could be meditating on but when we ONLY meditate on things that pass through the filter of that scripture above, we win!!

Scripture also tells us that as a man or woman thinks in our hearts so are we! Oh dear, that is a bit scary if I’m honest. We are only as strong as our minds. Our minds are only as strong as our spirits. Our spirits are only as strong as our devotion to His Word and our commitment of love to His body.

Let’s commit to each other this week to meditate only on things that pass through the filter of that verse above.

By doing so our minds will be clearer and clutter-free from negativity that distracts us. A declutttered mind is a peaceful mind. What we are all after is peace and peace comes as a result of soul control.

Happy Monday!
