We said Goodbye to our house of 16 years where the boys were raised & saying Hello to this next chapter. Gavin picked flowers from our yard yesterday for the very last time and met me at the car with them! We had so many camellias. Definitely among the first things we will plant in the new yard. But first, to get this kitchen functional! Until then, these flowers make it beautiful!! New counter tops came in yesterday. Now to get the lighting and the plumbing and the appliances and all the things finished. This remodel has been filled with twists and turns as they all are but trying to remember these two books I’ve heard of through it all 🙂 …and remaining grateful for all the beautiful people who have worked so hard to get it to this point and who will help make this new house a home. Doesn’t feel like home yet but with every box unpacked, every tip from a friend for decor, and with each progress made, I’m hopeful it will become a haven for our family like our last house was.
