Intro:

God is tooooo good to not believe !!!!!!!

To believe that whatever situation we find ourselves in, we don’t have to be afraid, filled with anxiety, burdened with depression, or struggling with our sanity but instead we can be filled with joy, the Lord that is our strength peace that causes storms to be still, and Grace, to run our race, no matter the obstacles in our way!!!!

What if I told you that every day of your life could be an adventure, an exploration, a dream day?

You would be like… Yes, sign me up! I’ll pack my bags tonight when I get home, right?!

I wanna talk to you tonight about three things that need to be explored in our lives daily.

A. Psalm 139:23 search me oh god, and know my heart, try me, and know my anxieties.

***Allow God to explore your heart and your anxieties daily.

Chapter 139 is called God’s perfect knowledge of man

God has explored all there is to know of us because He loves us that much!!

Think about it… Have we explored all there is we can to know of him because we love him that much?

Illustration: me shopping for my dress for Gavin and Mckenzie’s wedding

Before I went on that exploration for the perfect dress, I first had to be invited to the wedding, right thank God I got invited!!!

Let’s invite God to explore every part of us every day no matter what state we’re in.

And whether we are in a good place, a dark place, a busy season, where they were feeling betrayed, loved, filled with anxiety, anger, and even wickedness….

Lord, we all right now invite you to explore every crevice of our hearts, even the parts, we’re so ashamed of that. We’ve lied to ourselves and hidden them even from ourselves. God shine your light in the dark places so that we can see clearly with your perspective.

You know, I thought I was one of the most self-aware people until I realized I only thought I was one of the most self-aware people that I knew.

In various areas, we are all unconsciously, incompetent, or competent

Consciously incompetent or competent

Science has proven that 85% of what we do is unconscious or subconscious, which means so much of what we do is habits more so than decisions. When we allow God to search our hearts, he brings to like things that we don’t even know about ourselves, but the cool thing about when God searches our hearts and our anxiety, he floods it with the light of his word that turns our anxieties into peace, and turns the dark places of us into light. When he does this, it’s not just for us, light just can’t help but shine further and further you know if your neighbors light is on even if your front porch lights are not on. Even their light just at least help a little bit over into your yard because even a little light lights up a whole room.

B. Proverbs 2:1-8

My son, if you accept my words    and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom    and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out for insight    and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright,    he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

***Explore his Word daily!

Chapter 2 is called the value of wisdom, and is all about a searching to understand, and have full knowledge of real wisdom, as if searching for silver or hidden treasure!

Speaking of silver and hidden treasure, you may notice if you look down and around you, there are little silver hidden treasures just for you and your hint, as to look at the chair in front of you….

Over the years as we’ve walked alongside people and their journeys now for 30 years, I can’t tell you how evident the difference is in peoples lives who live their lives, according to the word, and the ones who do not .

His word instructs us, corrects us, guides us, and gives us wisdom to live lives that work!!!!

I pray that tonight, you draw a line in the sand and decide, determine, and do like we are talking about in our small group to not spend another day of your life outside of the word of God !!! Get wisdom! In allllll you’re getting, get understanding!!! There is no other getting that’s more important than getting wisdom and understanding of God’s way of doing things…..

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added to you Matthew 6:33

We’re too busy seeking all this stuff when what we need to be seeking is Wisdom so we know how to deal with all this stuff when we get it!

And he will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13.

Let’s spend our lives, exploring God‘s word, and his heart and when we do that, his wisdom will fill our lives with goodness!

3- Psalm 16:11

You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand pleasures forever more.

When He shows us the path of life, where does it lead? To his presence where does that lead to fullness of joy? Where does that lead to his right hand where there are pleasures forevermore!!

Chapter 16 of Psalm is called the hope of the faithful and the Messiah’s victory !!!

If you are faithful to the Messiah, then you can count on having Hope for victory in your life !

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet    and a light for my path.

Psalm 119:105

But the path of the just is like the shining [a]sun,That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Prov. 4:18

Your devotion every day in The Word is a path, it’s an adventure you don’t even know where you’re going, but it always takes you somewhere great and when you don’t spend time in his presence, and in his word, you’re missing out of the exploration and adventure that your life is supposed to be.

I’ve never once left the presence of God feeling bad about myself! Who else can you say that about? And your first go to is to call a friend who half the time doesn’t even know what to say, and maybe let us down or disappoints us with their response, but God will never disappoint you with His response!!!

But what if you are afraid that God’s gonna ask you to do something that you don’t want to do and maybe that’s why you’re avoiding his presence or exploring his path for your life?

Ps 119:35 you can pray this verse, make me delight in your path for me!!!

He will! Me w nursing > ministry

Kevin w soccer > ministry

Proverbs 4:26 tells us to ponder our path

Not just to be haphazard about how we live our lives like Que sera sera

Whatever will be will be… no that is unscriptural and it doesn’t work. Things don’t just fall in your lap. You have to be intentional. The Bible says that the steps of a righteous person is ordered at the Lord. Notice it says they are ordered not just flippantly taken.

Job 30:13 says there are those sent to break up your path.

Psalm 18:36 says to let him enlarge your path!!!

Proverbs 4:14 says do not enter the path of the wicked

Proverbs 1:15 says do not go along with them. Do not step your foot on sinful peoples path.

His ways are higher!!!

Go for higher,

for the glorious path He has for you!!

The more than enough path!

The healthy and whole path!

The abundant life path!!

In Conclusion:

#1 Travel hack ever given:

But first I want to show you Gavin & Kenzies, honeymoon video just to kind of get you to dream a little bit about maybe a

dream vacation or

dream job or

dream home or

dream guy or

dream school or

dream family situation…

As you watch their honeymoon reel, I want you to let God enlarge your path and I want you to ask him maybe for things you’ve not asked him for before or in a long time, and I want you just to imagine yourself exploring someplace and having a blast kind of like what Gavin and Mckenzie got to do in Fiji on their honeymoon take a look….

How fun did that look?! What a way to start off right?!

God has all kinds of fun, beautiful places He wants to take you in life!!!

I want that video to inspire you to think bigger, explore God’s path for you!!!

Trust me after seeing that video I’m definitely asking him if his path is going to maybe take me there at some point right?!

Ok so here’s the travel hack I promised:

Never visit a place with the mindset that you’ll never be back there.

If you do this, you will stay so stressed the whole time you’re there to be sure you see everything and do everything there is to do when your run yourself ragged and have to come home and rest from your vacation.

Anybody ever done that?

It takes the joy out of this dream vacation you’ve looked forward to for so long.

But if you go and explore out of the heart of wonder, and faith and peace and joy, instead of fear and anxiety, that’s when you enjoy the journey.

So I have a question for you? Are you going about every day worried sick that you’re not gonna get your to do list done or constantly consumed with a broken relationship that you’re in. Desperately wishing for things to be different than they are sort of frantically going through day after day after week after week after month after month after year after year exploring life filled with anxiety and for my fear of missing out.

There’s a better way to live!

Do you want to get rid of all that anxiety let God search your heart and let Him search and try and know your anxieties…

Take your fear and anger, worry, loss, betrayal to the word, and get his wisdom and explore his wisdom, so that you know what to do with all this stuff, and how to respond to life’s challenges. When you have wisdom, you win, you have the upper hand.

And explore his path for you. Instead of thinking, you’re a failure or you’ve got to succeed oh, how much more fulfilling life is when we just relax and rest and his ability and trust that if we’re doing life, his way that he’ll just keep leading us and guiding us from here to there.

So take that travel hack into your day tomorrow and realize you know what I’m gonna explore what I need to explore today I’m gonna get let God explore my heart and I’m gonna go to bed tonight and tomorrow night and the next night grateful, and content with what God explored today trusting God with what’s coming tomorrow!

See, living this way is living in freedom it’s living with a prosperity mindset instead of a poverty mindset of oh no, I may never get to come back here or oh no if this doesn’t work out it’s over that’s a trapped way to live. I’ve lived that way I still fight the good fight of faith to not live that way often and so I’m not saying this as someone who has it all together but I’m inviting you on this journey with me to live life with that travel hack in mind!!!

And to let God explore your heart daily, commit to explore his word, and all the wonder that’s there to experience daily, and explore his path that leads to fullness of joy, and it leads to his right hand. It leads to strength into pleasures evermore.

Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve been to the altar and laid everything out before the Lord, inviting him to really search your heart. Well tonight we’ve explored the word, and I just want to allow a little bit of time here for you to come to the altar, and invite God to explore your heart And cry out to him to search my heart. Oh God and try my anxieties. I wanna open these altars just to come up and just just kneel at the altar and ask God to search your heart and then I also want you to explore his path for you as you cry out to him tonight.

Who feels called to ministry of some sort that has FOMO – fear of missing out of enough money or status or approval or whatever….

Every time I preach lately, I feel called to pray for people who feel called to ministry. It’s like an anointing on me right now in this season I’m passionate about it and I am convinced that there are so many people right now that God is calling, and it is imperative that you answer that call. It is imperative that you cooperate with his path for your life that you let him explore the depths of your heart, and that you get your life in alignment with his word right now, who is that? Who does this resonate with come up here and let me pray for you!
