Have you ever heard of happy brain/happy life? Emerging research shows that being happy stimulates growth of nerve productions, improves cognition and mental productivity, improves critical thinking, affects your perception, and makes you more alert, which ultimately leads to happy thoughts! …therefore a happy mindset:)
So which comes first? The chicken or the egg?
Is it a mental choice or a spiritual condition?
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—keep thinking about these things. Phillipians 4:8
Colossians 3:1 says to focus on things above where Christ is positioned.
It is important to keep a peaceful and happy mindset, even through the tough times by holding onto this truth: that all things work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).
Here’s the deal. Scripture tells us that as we think in our hearts so are we.
So God rigged it to be in our favor both ways. Which comes first, the chicken or the egg in this scenario? It’s a spiritual condition in some cases and in others it’s a mental choice. Check this out… We can renew our minds with the Word of God so that we create right and helpful thinking patterns that catapult us into abundant life. Our life goes in the direction of our most dominant thoughts science has proven. On the other hand, God created us with amazing, powerful brains that can choose to be happy and those happy choices and habits also go to work to cause even nerve production and more productivity and alertness which all go into the makings of an abundant life. Jesus came that we may have life more abundantly and one of the ways this comes to pass for us is by having a happy mindset.
Happy Monday!
***Note: When there is true mental illness involved it does get a bit more complex than the simplicity of this particular blog. However the truths in this blog can certainly get you pointed in the right direction. In these cases sometimes there is also a medical side to be considered. My prayer is this has been encouraging nonetheless. ❤️
