How to succeed

How to succeed? by Adrienne Cooley

HAPPY Monday!

You’ve ever looked around and thought, “Why does it feel like everyone else is winning but me?” — girl, you are not alone.

Let me tell you something from my heart (and from Believe Anyway):
Success doesn’t always look like the scoreboard says it should.

We’ve been trained to measure success in followers, dollars, titles, or how “together” our lives look from the outside. But let’s flip that narrative.

What if success looks like:

  • Getting back up one more time than you fall?
  • Choosing faith over fear in the middle of a mess?
  • Loving people who are hard to love… and forgiving yourself when you’re hard to love?

Hey, success in the Kingdom is obedience, not outcomes.

I’ve had seasons where the “results” looked like failure on paper. But God was building something deeper in me than a platform or a bank account. He was building faith. And honestly? That’s the kind of success that lasts.

You want to know how to succeed? Start here:

  1. Stay faithful. Do what God’s calling you to do, even if no one claps for it.
  2. Keep showing up. The breakthrough doesn’t usually come with fireworks. It’s in the small steps of faithfulness.
  3. Love ANYWAY. Even when it hurts. Especially when it’s hard.
  4. Believe ANYWAY. When the numbers aren’t there, the applause goes silent, and the doors close—believe He’s still working.
  5. Be happy ANYWAY. When you were born again, Joy was placed inside your heart. The joy of the Lord is your strength so dig deep and yield to that strength inside you. And choose to enjoy your joy that you already have.

You don’t need everything to be perfect to be successful. You just need to walk in step with your calling. Trust God with the pace and the outcome.

So today, let’s redefine success. It’s not about keeping up. It’s about keeping on.

Believe anyway. Succeed anyway. Even if it doesn’t look like it yet… you’re doing better than you think.

Keep going!

You’re succeeding more than you know.

XO,
Adrienne
