Are you afraid of what all is going on in our world these days? Are you shaken up by it all? Does it seem uncertain to take the next step? Honestly, it’s hard for a lot of us to even think about it. Some go to their war room and pray. I’m sure you have been caught in fear charged conversations or talks that escalate in anger from someone about our current events. Others blast everything political they see or hear on Facebook. We all deal with these uncertain times differently.
This just might encourage you…
““Like a lion coming out of the thick woods along the Jordan up to the green pasture land, I, the Lord, will come and make the Babylonians run away suddenly from their city. Then the leader I choose will rule the nation. Who can be compared to me? Who would dare challenge me? What ruler could oppose me?”
Jeremiah 50:44 GNT
That verse puts me at ease knowing that we can pray for God’s man to rule our Nation. I love that! “What ruler could oppose me?” So I just imagine walking along a grassy meadow toiling over the troubles of this age when Bam! God comes out with a roar and sets it all straight. (Now re-read that with Katy Perry’s Roar as the back ground music. 🙂
Yesterday I was walking barefooted through my in-laws’ yard. It brought back the sweetest memories as a child walking in my grandmother’s yard. No stickers! It was like Ahhhh! Peace in my sometimes chaotic world.
While I was walking in that lush carpet of grass, I thought about this verse☺️
“Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.”
Joshua 1:3 NKJV
God wants us to walk through our current troubles into a new phase of FAITH! Let’s expect whatever we are asking God for to be ours. Let’s trust God that what He says is REALLY under our feet. That looks like this: when a person or situation comes up that is difficult to deal with, just keep quiet, change the subject, or deal with it in a loving, gracious manner. It also looks like not being afraid of what is going to be taken from us in all the crazy stuff going on in our world, believing that instead God is giving us wherever our foot does trod.
I hope you get the chance soon to walk barefooted through a smooth carpet of grass. It’s such a treat for your feet! It’s sure to give you happy feet. And if and when you do, I hope you remember these verses of encouragement!
Whatever you are going through right now, I pray you believe these 2 verses and expect them to become a reality in your life. Soon, you will be figuratively (at least) walking on smooth sticker-free grass in your life. So go on with your happy feet and walk right over the problems in your life or worries in your head & be #ohwellhappyanyway!!
Happy Monday!
