Be Happy Not Critical

~Be Happy Not Critical~

In Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) they use the phrase “perception is projection”, which means how you percieve things is correlated to what’s going on inside you. This is where self-awareness is key- before you become criticial with someone, check yourself. Stop and search your heart. Are your criticisms being fueled by your own internal struggle and issues? or are they valid and you just need to work on your delivery method? 🙂

When dealing with yourself, same science applies here. Begin to stop yourself if you’re about to be critical toward yourself. Start speaking positive things over yourself. There is power in your words! What you feed will grow and manifest; what we’re dealing with on the inside will eventually start to show itself. Remember, you are a child of the most High God, so be kind to yourself! You will only be as kind to others as you are to yourself. You will be more kind to others once you are kind enough to yourself to first deal with your own struggle and issues.

““Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It’s easy to see a smudge on your neighbor’s face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, ‘Let me wash your face for you,’ when your own face is distorted by contempt? It’s this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor.” Matthew‬ ‭7:1-5‬ ‭MSG

“And above all these [put on] love and enfold yourselves with the bond of perfectness [which binds everything together completely in ideal harmony].”Colossians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭AMP‬‬

‭‭‬‬Love never fails. Love is the “how to” in being happy, not critical. The struggle is real, but love wins every time!

Happy Monday!!
