ย “The LORD your God will then make you successful in everything you do. He will give you many children and numerous livestock, and he will cause your fields to produce abundant harvests, for the LORD will again delight in being good to you as he was to your ancestors.”
Deuteronomy 30:9

Today’s blog is dedicated to my son, Gavin who will graduate high school this Thursday night along with all the other 2016 graduates out there. Please feel free to share this with any graduate you feel could use the encouragement about their future. Also, wether you are a graduate this year or have “graduated” from a season of life headed into another, I hope today’s blog is an encouragement to you, too!

That verse above is one we have told our boys their whole lives. God will bless everything you put your hand to. What good news for any of us as we venture out into our dreams! ย “Putting your hand to it” involves work and diligence of course. There is a God part and a man part. Something Gav has always said is,”I do my best and God does the rest.” My! How simple is that if we could just really love that way?! Gavin does a great job living by that actually. It’s a lesson I take from him often.
ย
Another verse Gavin says he remembers his dad praying over him comstantly and he just flat expects it to be so is for “favor like a shield”. So as he steps into this new phase, he does so with confidence expecting favor and success.
ย
I’m so thankful he has this spiritual root system to build on. I hope you do as well and if not, let this blog encourage you to think this way. Expect success. Expect favor. Expect to plan on doing your best and looking to God to make up the difference. Simple yet very profound.

Happy Graduation! Way to go! The world awaits you. Go leave your mark! Don’t look back. Never ever give up. You’ve got what it takes! Go for it! Don’t hold back. If you can see it you can be it! ย
