God wants us to abound in hope!! 

Have you ever booked a vacation and had a while to look forward to it? You think about that day when you get to board the plane or jump in your car and off ya go to the wild blue yonder! You get to leave all the worries behind and go put your feet in the sand or travel through Europe or see Mickey! You believe like the verse above says that you are going on this trip because you paid for it and it’s all set. You get excited and filled with hope and joy because there is nothing that is going to pop up on your calendar to keep you from this! Your time is already approved to be off at work and everything’s in motion for this trip to happen, no doubt. That is why you can keep pushing through anything that comes at you, eyes straight ahead looking to this time off in sunny Florida or at the top of the Eiffel Tower or whevever your tickets take you. Stress may mound as you prepare for the trip but a peace comes over you at the hopeful thought of how all this packing and working around the clock will be worth it once you get “there”!! Oh happy day! 

Look at this verse again and think about what is going on in your life – good or bad. What is just ahead for you? Take this verse and put your faith in God believing that what He says and what He paid for through Jesus is going to come to pass in your life!!! And let the peace of God flood your heart and mind. Let hope fill your soul with joy in believing!!!

Wether it’s a fun trip ahead or a scary “trip” ahead of you, or a situation you are sitting right in the middle of at the moment, let this verse lift you up out of it and set you on a course as exciting as a trip to Disney World. God has paid for our entire lives to be lived with hope, joy, and peace! 

Let’s do this! Let’s live this way! Why not?! It’s paid for by the blood of Jesus.  The trip is booked, it’s called Abundant life that Jesus came to give us (John 10:10) Nothing can get in the way. Yes things come up but as we put our faith in God that He will turn it around for our good, there is joy peace and hope in believing! How? By the power of the Holy Spirit, our guide and our comforter.
