Ever heard the statement “They were just at the right place at the right time” or “Bummer, I was at the wrong place at the wrong time” ?
Many stars were born by being at the right place at the right time. Similarly, people are serving time behind bars right now from a fluke decision that led them to the wrong place at the wrong time. Destinies have been majorly altered by what seems like happen chance or an oops or lucking up.
As Christians the Word teaches us that our steps are ordered of the Lord. We have God appointments and it’s up to us to be sure not to miss them. Have you ever noticed that being led by the Spirit of God isn’t always straight forward or clear cut. It doesn’t always make sense. That’s because His ways are higher than ours. I’ve heard it said that sometimes God will take us north to get us south or east to take us west. He might pull us back to launch us forward.
At the end of the day, trusting Him and following Him takes faith. It is so liberating when we let go and let God, when we say Yes, I trust you with my journey. When we do this, God Appointments just start showing up and all we have to do is get to them. Be faithful with them. And watch God chart our courses to be better than we could have ever dreamed. What is your next God Appointment? Be faithful to show up to it and enjoy the results of it!
I am so proud of my son Gavin and his girlfriend Tammy for being the inspiration for today’s blog as they have done just this. Can hardly wait to see what all comes of this God Appointment they have in Haiti right now with such amazing people we love working with Danita’s Chikdren and Peter Lindquist and Amber Madison. We are so thankful for this opportunity for them to follow God and come and serve along side these amazing friends in ministry. I know they will be changed forever and be a blessing in the process.
Happy Monday!
