“Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of those things not yet seen.” Hebrews 11:1 “Without faith it is impossible to please God…” Hebrews 11:6

Faith is simply put, trusting God. And most of us right now if we are honest have probably had our bouts with doubt wether about money, our health or relationships during what we are all going through. If we focus on what we are seeing and hearing right now, we could become an emotional mess, especially those in certain areas that are “hot spots”. Faith believes what God says over what the world is saying and that isn’t always easy when sickness is screaming at you or lack is creeping up out of nowhere. Faith trusts that God is with you and that Jesus came so that we can live abundantly. The devil came to kill, steal and destroy according to John 10:10.

As we navigate this temporary new normal, let’s do so in faith trusting in God’s love for us seeking diligently after His way of doing things. As we lean not on our own understanding but in all our ways acknowledge Him, He will direct our steps into victory.

We may be hard pressed on every side but not crushed like Paul was and we may be struck down but not destroyed. Let’s pray for each other to be more convinced of the love of God for us to help us get to the other side like he helped them in scripture to “get to the other side”.

Our faith pleases God. I think maybe that could be at least in part because when we trust God, it makes Him happy to know that we actually believe in His love for us. When we love someone and they lean into our love trusting us, it pleases us. The more time we spend with God, the more we will know Him and His love for us. The more we will trust Him. “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17

I pray this short study on faith helps. The bottom line is that faith works by love. And this above is why that is so. We will only trust God to the degree we are convinced of His love for us.

He loves you more than you can imagine and as you become aware of this, the more faith you will have in Him taking care of you.

And this is why I like to say this: God is Love is Happy.

We will only be as happy as we are loved and giving of love. We will only experience love to the degree that we believe in Love Himself. THIS is how we can have a…
