Happy Christmas
Yesterday at Harvest Church, we watched snippets of Home Alone & Wow! I never remembered how moving that flick was about dealing with loneliness until Kevin wrapped scripture around it like he did. Not sure which is worst?! …to be completely isolated or surrounded by a “wonderful support system” [or so all would say of you] yet still, you’re alone even in a house as full as the one on Home Alone!
Check out how Paul felt and see how he handled it. You’re gonna {LOVE THIS}!
“At my preliminary hearing no one stood by me. They all ran like scared rabbits. But it doesn’t matter—the Master stood by me and helped me spread the Message loud and clear to those who had never heard it. I was snatched from the jaws of the lion! God’s looking after me, keeping me safe in the kingdom of heaven. All praise to him, praise forever! Oh, yes!” (2 Timothy 4:16-18 MSG)
Paul was flat deserted. Have you ever been deserted? And at Christmas time, of all times is the toughest to feel betrayed or rejected. Well, my prayer is that, after this next minute, maybe you will be on your way for a happier Christmas than had you not stopped by this blog.😘
Did you know that loneliness is the {MOST COMMON} emotional pain in our society? What?! Even though we have the best, most sophisticated communication ever at our fingertips? That’s pretty astounding to me. So hey, here’s the bright side!! If it’s the most common emotional pain, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Think about it!
😂👍 {LOL}
Plus, that reminds me of my favorite scripture as a teenager when I often felt all alone. {I HAVE A HUNCH} that this is just what you are going to need to push you right over into a Happy Christmas…
“No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13 MSG)
So imagine that! The Bible and the statisticians agree!! {YOU ARE NOT ALONE} in feeling alone. Be like Paul in 2 Tim. 4. After being neglected & rejected, he went right on about his call helping others, THANKFUL & praising God in the process quite enthusiastically I might add. Even ending the story with Oh, Yes!!
Now determine to go about your call, helping others, thankfully praising God ANYWAY and have an H to the YES! kind of Christmas …{HAPPY THAT IS!} 😂🎄🎁😃⛄️😜
Happy Christmas Ya’ll!
