Talofa! Bula! Aloha!
When you don’t know what you want it’s probably time to start enjoying what you have.
GRATITUDE sometimes helps you see you actually already have what you want. The more you enjoy what you have, your JOY is attractive and you’ll be far more likely of skipping a long right up to what it is you’re wanting. You’ll, with that joy, have more STRENGTH to be intentional in going after it. People like being around happy people so you’ll meet more of the right people by enjoying what you have. Enjoying what you have will entail playing a lil more and working a lil less perhaps. The cool thing about PLAY is that your mind is able to think more creatively and brilliantly during play. That leads me to believe based on research I’ve found that as you enjoy what you have more, you’ll begin to even know WHAT YOU WANT more. Then you can become intentional about going after it. But as you do, don’t get so focused on the destination that you forget to keep playing along the way.
I am practicing what I am preaching in this very blog as I sit and type this at sunrise in Samoa with the most beautiful backdrop all around me. When you follow God’s plan for your life, there are seasons of hard work, grinding it out, yes! But there are also seasons of rest, enjoyment, and serenity. The thing is though, there can be moments for each most days if you allow for them. Gratitude for what you currently have around you will create wonderful results like the day I am having today.
I’ll leave you with a gratitude exercise that quite possibly changed my brain chemistry. I know, sounds dramatic…not me! Never lol Seriously, it changed me. Find a friend who will let you do this and if you don’t have someone, DM me on IG and I will do it with you. Txt or DM someone you trust 10 things you are thankful for that happened in the last 24 hours for 10 days. Don’t miss a day. Commit to it and it needs to not be things like my house, and general things like that but rather things like, mybhusband took time to hang out and open up with me today or I had a nice lunch with a friend or I had time to run an errand I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Simple day to day things you are grateful for. As you do this, you will notice instead of looking for things to go wrong or getting stuck in the negative, your new focus will become looking for the good in things. You will begin to look for things and fixate on things to be grateful for…little things. If this doesn’t change you in big ways, money back guarantee. Ha! If you had paid for this blog, I would honestly refund you. But since it’s free, pretend you paid for it so you will do this. You’ll be so glad ya did!
