Yesterday at church, we had “Move up Day” where each age of our Next Gen departments at church moved up to the next age group. All afternoon, that phrase just stayed with me and I knew it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me about today’s blog.

This is a prophetic word from heaven I believe for YOU….It’s Move Up Day for you. God is calling you to move up. Across the board, I believe God wants you to move up to the next place He has for you. Scripture tells us we are to be going from
Glory to Glory! In your family relationships, friendships, health, finances, career, church leadership, peace level, joy, mental health, every single area!!!

Problem is I see a lot of people just stuck right where they are and not moving forward in their walks with Christ and far too many are actually sliding back. In the eighties, we radical believers called it “backsliding”. I think in this culture that verbiage is too judgy, harsh, and aggressive. Say what ya want about all that but I’m here to tell you today….wherever your walk is with God, He is asking you to step closer, pull up, crowd in past the noise and seek His face. He has things for you that you can only get if you are hungry. The kind of hungry that we say in the south like this: Hongry!!!! Or you may say Hangry!!!! Maybe that’s what the Bible means about being angry and sinning not – maybe one loose interpretation at least…. Let’s let all the following anger us unto good works! Let’s do our part to love the hell out of this world with it’s lawlessness, ungodliness, lukewarmness, lazy attitude toward going to church and forsaking the assembling together with the body of Christ, serving and not just showing up to be served, not properly discerning the Body of Christ.

Maybe you are closer to God than you ever have been! If so, He’s calling you up even higher. Maybe you’re hardly recognizing yourself because you’ve gotten so far away from Him and His people. He’s calling you up higher.

Repentance and forgiveness only take a split minute! And you will be right back in right standing, ready to go full steam ahead with what you know in your heart He’s called you to.

There is no happier place than smack dab in the middle of God’s will for your life! He will take you higher than you ever dreamed of. STOP trying to do it without Him. Stop trying to get His blessings on your plans. His will! His bill! It’s so much better in every way. I know. I’ve tried it both ways.
