When Trust Feels Broken
Trust isn’t just broken in big moments.
It erodes through inconsistency, harsh reactions, and broken follow-through.
When trust is low, people stop being real and start being careful.
Here’s the truth:
“Let your ‘Yes’ be yes, and your ‘No,’ no.” Matthew 5:37
Trust is built through consistency and integrity.
And:
“Whoever is faithful in little is faithful also in much.” Luke 16:10
Trust grows in the small, repeated moments.
Keep ONE promise daily no matter how small.
If trust has been broken in your family, begin to let “your yes be yes” and “your no be no.” Trust can be rebuilt but it is a process and keeping one promise a day sounds so simple but it is profound. It matters.
Be honest. Get vulnerable. Stay accountable to each other. Begin to walk in righteousness in your interactions instead of walking on egg shells. If you want to rebuild or don’t have a lot of choice in the matter and are sort of stuck in the situation you find yourself in, these are good places to start.
