Raising Champions: A Mother’s Mission

Raising Champions: A Mother’s Mission

This Mother’s Day, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey of raising two amazing sons—and this weekend, I get to celebrate one of them stepping into a new chapter as he marries the love of his life. I couldn’t be happier with the women my sons have chosen, and I’m endlessly grateful for God’s grace and their cooperation with Him in shaping their paths. Truly, raising champions isn’t just a phrase. It’s a calling that I hope you accept as I did as my number one mission in life. There is nothing more fulfilling.

In my upcoming Mother’s Day message, I share the lessons I learned along the way: the long nights, the intentional investments in their gifts, and the habits that made all the difference. It’s not a self-help guide, a TED Talk, or a promise of instant results, just honest truths about what it takes to raise kids who thrive spiritually, emotionally, and morally.

From listening with empathy, building resilience, honoring authority, and teaching responsibility, to celebrating joy and embracing God’s plan. These principles shaped my boys into the men they are today. And now, as the youngest one steps into marriage, and our oldest is enjoying three years so far of marriage, I see the fruit of God’s work in their lives, and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Mother’s Day is a reminder that our influence is profound, and raising champions is possible when we stay faithful, intentional, and rooted in Christ. This weekend, as I watch my youngest son marry, I can’t even express how satisfying it is and how excited we are to welcome his beautiful bride into our family. The journey of raising two sons who have chosen amazing women to be their wives has been full of adventure and wonder. These guys are living proof that with God, guidance, and love, champions can indeed be made.

Stay tuned for the full message. I promise you, the stories, the truths, and the practical tips might just change the way you see your own parenting journey. I’ve had this message in my heart for years and am so happy the time has come to be able to share it. And if we are lucky, maybe we will be able to share a wedding photo or two soon!

Happy Monday!

I hope your Monday was HAPPY! By the time this posts, it will be Tuesday morning. After this wedding, I hope to get back in the groove of getting these out earlier on Mondays. Thank you for your grace in this busy, beautiful season.
