250 years of FREEDOM!

Happy Birthday, America! 250 years of FREEDOM!

Have you noticed like I have that on someone’s birthday is not the time to talk about how they got it wrong over all their years? No, of course not! It’s the time to celebrate someone’s life. In celebrating, are we saying the person has been perfect for 20, 40, 60 years? Of course not LOL

So let’s take this year to celebrate all the good about our beautiful nation! There is so much to celebrate! There are absolutely things to work on but I wanted to ask you what you are thankful for about America? Whether you are from here or not, what are you thankful for about America?

Let’s take this season to speak those things that be not as though they are and use this momentum we have as a nation to speak life over her. It’s been a while since there has been so much positivity. The World Cup has been a fun momentum builder and then July 4th. I want to challenge, invite, and encourage you to join in the positive chatter to continue fanning the flame of this great nation who leads the way in world evangelism, feeding the hungry, and is the most influential country in the world.

No matter where you live in the world, chances are, you have been positively impacted by America. That being said, obviously, some feel negatively impacted. That would be true of anyone’s life. My life for example…I set out as a 21 year old to live my life and dedicate it to the work of my Lord in order to help people and show them the love of God. Yet, there is one or maybe two handfuls of people who would testify differently about me. Anytime you try and make a difference and become a leader, you will make a few enemies no matter how hard you try not to. Leaders are an easy shot. Also, remember that boo’s come from the cheap seats.

So, for this 250th year for America, don’t boo from the cheap seats. Find something good to say or don’t say anything at all. We need to come together as a country and speak life over our great nation, our leaders who, though imperfect, many trying to put God in America again. Being a doer of this Word, 1 Timothy 2:1-2 will do far more good than complaining and bad-mouthing people. A prayer I pray a lot is, “Take the coal. Cleanse my lips, Lord. Hear I am.” Let that be our prayer today when it comes to our nation and the people who fill it.

Happy 250th Birthday, America!
