What if this new year actually could be happier than any other so far? What if you have what it takes to do what is in your heart? Good news!!!!

HOLD UP before you think 🤔 Yadda Yadda….another Bubble Gum, Feel Good, Empty promise, Hyped up blog. I promise, this blog is not going to waste your time this holiday season. Invest the next minute or so into YOU! You’re worth it!

I want to share something with you that I do each year and challenge you to do this simple exercise with your spouse or a good friend or in your own time with the Lord. It will really make a difference, guaranteed!

Think of life as having 7 baskets:

Family

Personal Development

Spirituality

Finances

Social

Career

Health & Fitness

Write down 3 Goals this year you have for each of these baskets above^^^

How do you come up with these goals you may ask. Here’s how:

1- Pray and ask God. He knows what will make you happy and what your capabilities are more than you do.

2- Picture yourself at the end of 2020 looking back on the year and write down what would have had to have happened in 2020 for you to say,”Best year ever!”

3- Don’t hold back. Write the vision and make it plain. Terri Savelle Foy says to write your top 10 goals each day for 30 days and see which ones keep surfacing to the top. This is a bonus exercise you can do too and see how those overlap with the 7 Baskets exercise.

We all focus on one or two of these baskets of life as our primary priorities so pick which ones are your primary priorities and for sure hone in on those but also be intentional with each basket of life this year and get what it is you want out of this year! Because you can if you will!

You are capable of what God says you are capable of, not what you feel like you are or are not. Goals for Christians are simply what you sense God is leading you to do and your steps are ordered of the Lord so walk into 2020 with confidence. He is the God who goes ahead of us and provides what we need to accomplish all He is calling us to accomplish. And He intends on us fulfilling our course with joy!
