Think about it. Are you a confident person? Do you second guess yourself all the time or are you walking sure-footed into God’s will for your life?

I look around and see so many floundering and wondering what their purpose is. I see college students change their majors over and over. I did the same thing for a bit at that age. But you can be confident in what you are doing.

Wether we are making a small decision or making a mega life choice that could impact the rest of our time on this planet, it actually is a simple matter of obedience. But it requires humility and surrender…something Americans aren’t typically real fond of. We want it our way and we like things being our own idea.

I think we underestimate how much our choices affect so many around us. Our Choices hurt or they heal. Our choices set us and others back or they propel us and others forward.

When we know we are smack dab in the middle of God’s will, walking in love toward people in our lives, and submitting our will to God’s ways instead of our own, we walk with a whole lot more confidence. When we are in His Word and filling our hearts with His Truth and renewing our minds with His everlasting wisdom, we walk in the light of His Word. It directs our paths and causes us to be sure-footed seeing the way to go and who to connect with.

Walk in His light and watch Him connect you with the right people who only encourage you more. Before long you will be walking with a confidence you only dreamed of having. Here’s the secret…the confidence we long for is found in Christ – not in ourselves or others. We will fail ourselves and others will fail us causing our confidence to be shaken. But God will never fail us so when our confidence is in Him, we are unstoppable! We are able to Believe ANYWAY and thrive no matter what life throws at us!!!

A few questions to ponder:

Who has failed you and shaken your confidence?

What would it look like to put your confidence in God in a specific situation?

When you pray, get in the Word and ask God what He is calling you to do, what brings peace to your spirit? What is your pastor or leader seeing in you? What is your spiritual covering saying over you? Who are you submitted to and have speaking into your life? What are they saying? Are you teachable and listening or doing your own thing contrary to godly principles?

For me, when I’ve been unclear and not confident in His call for my life, not always maybe but the times I remember, I was not in The Word like before or I wasn’t listening to godly counsel in my life or I was just being stubborn to do things my own way. If you will surrender your will and be planted in the local church where God has established you to be, God will blow your mind in the best kind of way and you will walk in the most confidence you’ve ever had. There’s no better way to live!!
