Ugh!!!! This is what has gotten me sooooo many times. 

Are you a person of principle and of the Word? When you can so uber see where people are off and try and “help” or “correct” or “guide” yet they do not have eyes to see or ears to hear, what happens? Just like scripture says, you get bit. Scripture also says not to cast pearls before swine – in other words, if people aren’t listening to you, even people you love with all your heart, stop talking. If they are not listening and you keep talking, you are devaluing your own words! Oh my goodness, how many times I’ve done this! We would avoid rejection many times if we just watch instead of talk. And let them come to you. Because when we give unsolicited advise, we get bitten and then on top of the bite, rejected. I know this first hand and you’d think by now I would have learned. Its just that the pain is almost more than we can bear and we think we can help the situation but the whole time, it’s like trying to put an egg shell back together. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is NOTHING – and trust God to do what only He can do in the situation. 

People create so much pain from fear-reactions and choosing things out of pain. But even if you have all the wisdom in the world, if they won’t hear it, stop talking because the Bible says to and two wrongs don’t make a right. 

Mom taught me this and said it all the time! And here’s where grace comes in for “those” who aren’t listening to “all your or my wisdom”…. I’m fifty years later still sometimes not listening to Mom’s wisdom of two wrongs don’t make a right when I try and engage almost begging someone to listen to wisdom when they have their minds made up. 

Let go and let God! 5 simple words but oh how hard that can be until ya do it and then oh how much easier it is when we do for everyone involved!
