Take your place

Luke 8:43-44 43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, 44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.

Who do you identify with in this story? I always had identified with the woman who pressed through the crowd in great need and touched the hem of His garment. What would happen if we identified with Jesus instead of the one struggling? Jesus came so that we could be His witnesses in the earth, so that we can now be imitators of Christ, and to stand in His place, not in everyone else’s. The problem with the body of Christ today is that we identify with everyone except Jesus.

What would happen if we would take our position in Christ and be clothed with Him like the Bible says? You know what would happen? Instead of visualizing ourselves crawling through life grappling and pressing to get through it all to pitifully touch the hem of His garment, we would let the very life of God flow out of us like Jesus did to those who need a touch from Him.

Philippians 3:10 10 And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did];

Let’s take our rightful places! And when we do, we will live more purposefully, with a clear aim, understanding we are on mission like Jesus was. We will live more others minded rather than focused all the time on our needs.

Happy Monday!
